Britta Teleman

"I don't think I could start with a shape in my creative process. My work must begin with a material, a need, or a concept," says Britta Teleman. The Strapp shelf, in Klong's collection, is an example of a design that illustrates her mindset.

Britta was born and raised in Sweden, and has her based in both Halmstad and Stockholm. In 2007, she graduated from Central Saint Martins in London. Since then, she has co-founded the design and architecture studio Objecthood, conducted interdisciplinary research on children's participation in healthcare, and lectured on design methodology and norm criticism at various universities across Sweden.

By bringing together odd ideas with unconventional shapes, materials, or functions, the result curiously becomes obvious and simple, yet at the same time, you have never seen anything like it before.
