Product Description

Patina Mini received an updated construction in 2022. Aesthetically, the lamp remains the same; only changes to the construction have been made in order to prevent accidents in the home.

The lamp is made of brass with a powder-coated grey, black or copper finish. The copper lamp will develop a beautiful patina over time if not polished. The oil lamp should be filled with high-quality lamp oil.

Care instructions

The recommended functional height of the wick is 2–3 mm. Use only high-quality lamp oil, such as Kemetyl. Fill the container with a maximum of 200 mm of oil. If the lamp is overfilled, it will not function due to a vacuum. If the wick is not properly soaked in oil, it will not burn. A dry wick that burns will damage the lamp and prevent it from functioning correctly.

The lamp is not intended to be polished, but if you wish to achieve a shinier surface on your copper or brass lamp, you may use a brass and copper polish.

If you happen to get lamp oil on your clothing, change and wash the garment as it may become extra flammable.

Ensure that neither the container nor the surface it stands on is damp, as the metal can cause marks. The lamp is intended for indoor use.

Broberg & Ridderstråle

Regardless of the assignment, Mats Broberg & Johan Ridderstråle intend to create an emotional bond with what is being created. The inspiration comes from everyday life and is often characterized by a humorous twist.

A unique detail is added to a classic form, which gives it a new identity that stands out. A piece of metal becomes a roller blind, a crow's foot becomes a table leg, etc. Mats & Johan play with the idea of what is considered normal and everyday. However, it is not all about having fun– they are both disciplined when needed. Regarding their working relationship, they say the following: "It works perfectly. If one of us has a bizarre idea (usually Mats), it is up to the other (usually Johan) to bring the idea to life".
